Production Associate

The Plibrico Company is seeking an experienced Production Associate for a full time position in it’s Salem, OH location.  Under the direct supervision of the Redi-Shapes Divisional Manager, Production Associates have multiple responsibilities such as loading, unloading, and packaging precast brick shapes for shipment; operating and tending to the furnace kiln to ensure quality products are produced; assembling and stripping casting molds.

Responsibilities and essential functions include:

• Read and interpret work orders and instructions to determine work assignments, process specifications, and production schedules
• Press and adjust controls to activate, set, and regulate equipment according to specifications
• Confer with supervisors or other equipment operators to report equipment malfunctions or to resolve production problems
• Formulate load plans for palletize precast brick shapes to ensure they do not break during shipment
• Breakdown and assemble molds
• Transport materials and products to and from work areas, manually, or using carts or forklifts
• Wears proper safety equipment for each task
• Assists with other department related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years construction laborer experience
• Ability to read and program front loading furnace
• Must be mechanically inclined, and have the ability to use hand tools and air tools
• Ability to operate and pass forklift licensure
• Ability to lift and/or move 50 pounds
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization

Additional:

• PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Required to use arms and legs with frequent movement of entire body, such lift and/or move up to 50 pound objects, climb, balancing and handling material
